You Are Never to Old to Marry -I know it is not considered typical for an older couple to have a full fledged wedding, but when I finally found someone to marry; I was already in my 50’s.  I must say that I was prepared for a lot of nay sayers on the day of the wedding. I assumed there would be a lot of wagging tongues about two fifty year olds dressed in white getting married as if we were young things.  In a nod to my age, I forwent the typical big white gown and wore something more suitable to both my age and the setting of our wedding. I found a beautiful off white linen dress with an empire waistline. I also decided to forgo shoes in favor of feeling the soft sand beneath my feet.

 Both the wedding ceremony and the reception were beautiful. Our guests truly enjoyed seeing the two of us wed after so many years of being alone. The sunset ceremony was perfect and the gorgeous draped tent was the perfect place to have a wedding reception in Atlanta.
